Ok this is the last blog of the day. As you all know I recently switched over to AT&T. One of the main reasons for doing it was because Robo (my gf) wants the Apple iPhone 3G. Well it came out Friday and I was telling her that you really want to get to store early because there were going to be a lot of people wanting it. She didn’t believe there would be long lines since people had the first iPhone but she was wrong. Not only was there a line at the AT&T store but they didn’t have enough for everyone in line. So the associates at AT&T tell her that they’ll hold one in the managers office for and she could pick it up on Saturday. Well Saturday (yesterday) comes around and she didn’t get it. The manager said that someone went into his office and sold them all. Robo ready to whip someones ass at this point is very pissed off and returns the Blackberry she had been using. She raised hell in the store. Enough to get our first month billed credited. LOL! So she calls me on her T-Mobile phone and tells me what has been going on. We called 611 all day going over stuff and making sure our account is this and that. We called them a lot yesterday. LOL! She also wanted me to call AT&T stores to see if they had any iPhones. I go through all of them in my area until one guy says you’re better off going to an Apple Store. So I call the Apple Store and they say that they have them and aren’t really concerned with inventory. Meaning they had plenty. LOL! The only thing is you had to set it up through your AT&T account and that could take anywhere from 8 to 40 minutes. The reasoning behind that is that they aren’t selling these phones at will anymore. If you get an iPhone you must have a contract with AT&T. No more unlocking the phone apparently and using it with another carrier. This is one of the ways AT&T is trying to recoup the money that was lost. Which is smart and I do have to give them credit. LOL! So we get over there about 5:30. At this point we weren’t guaranteed in the store. There was a line outside the mall. Mall security was letting people in. Standing in line wasn’t that bad. We talked to a couple in front of us, some dude who was switching over from Sprint, and another lady. We were out there a while. They did give us water and popsicles however. But it was getting cold by the time we were going to go in the mall. Employees came out periodically telling us what we needed to do before we get in there. First of all no discounts on any current AT&T accounts. You could put it back on after you get your phone however. No corporate people could get it they strictly have to go through AT&T which is understandable. If you were switching carriers you had to have the account number if you were bringing over an existing cell phone number. And you had to be eligible for an upgrade. So it was a bunch of stuff you had to have ready. So we get all that stuff ready right when we get to the front door of the mall. Then some dude comes up and says they aren’t going to be able to serve anymore customers. Robo was about to cry. But in my mind I was like who was that dude since he didn’t have an Apple shirt on. I figured its just some dude that doesn’t want to stand in line. So then they call for 5 more of us. we all go in and then we are taken care of. The process did take a while and Robo did have to change her number again. LOL! But eventually we got through she got her phone and everyone went home happy. The couple in front of us were still there when we left, and also that other lady was still there. The dude switching over was in and out. The only funny thing about him was he got his wallet stolen so he had his dude bring over a high school year book because they had to see some photo ID. That is awesome! And he got his phone. So if you plan on getting that phone just a heads up try going to the Apple Store as opposed to AT&T.
So you all know I work for this inventory company. RGIS Inventory Specialist. Wednesday morning we have a warehouse to inventory at 5am in the morning. It is the Ralphs/Kroger freezer warehouse in Compton right off the 91 Freeway. We were pretty much counting ice cream, yogurt and other frozen goods. I think after doing that I can never look at ice cream the same for a while. And the funny thing about it is this is summer. So we had to count a bunch of pallets full of frozen goods and recount them as well and there were like four or five levels of tops as well that you needed forklifts to just even reach. They did provide us with stuff before we even went in there. They gave us a jumpsuit, gloves (that were too big), socks, and a face mask. I put all that on except the gloves. In addition I already had my coat, zip up, my RGIS shirt, another long sleeve shirt, a tank top, a pair of pants, two pairs of socks, and my basketball shoes. I thought I was prepared. And for the first 35 minutes I was prepared. All went well until I came out of the freezer for a first ten minute break. Then thats when I started to lose it. The rule was they wanted you to count three areas and then take a break for about 10 minutes and then go back in. But some people were just too cold they counted one area and they just stayed outside. LOL! What a joke. The further you went in the more colder it was. The last aisle it was like you were on ice. And once we were done with the original count we had to start the recount and saw if they matched. That wasn’t fun at all. The only good thing about it is that you got to work with someone for the 2nd count. But the whole thing was just chaotic. People didn’t want to go back in there but manager running the inventory made them all get back in there. It was crazy. Ice was growing on our face masks, and my fingers would freeze up since I really didn’t use there thick gloves. And this was only for the bottoms. The tops was even worst. First of all not all of them were even counted. Secondly they wanted us to recount the tops also but if we did that we would still be there until that next day. Maybe even longer. Who knows. LOL! And the forklifts ran out of batteries so they had to sit and charge. And while all this going on they wanted it done by 5. When that seemed impossible they wanted us out by 6. I think we just got the bottoms done and they wanted all the tops to be counted andnot worry about recounting them. But when 6 came around they made us clear out. And the funny thing is after lunch you had a bunch of auditors just sitting outside doing nothing. It’s like they could’ve just went home. I’m sure they didn’t want to be there any longer. Nobody did. I was kinda happy I went home. I wasn’t trying to stick around any longer. And the total temperature in there was 20 below zero Fahrenheit. If I ever go back to that place it will be too soon. Another weird thing about it was that the restroom was unisex. Yes meaning I could be in one stall and a girl could be in another. I found it weird since women do work at that place. But it had no urinals. Enough with that. Overall it was a very interesting experience. Maybe it would’ve been nice when we had that heat wave a couple weeks ago. LOL!
I think I should just write these blogs as the story occurs but I always like for time to go down then write my opinion. I’ll do a better job of trying to do write as the story is occurring. Well last week was a sad day for Clipper fans as Elton Brand left the team via free agency for the Philadelphia 76ers. He’s been with the team since 2001 I thank him for all he did for the team and he will be missed. I don’t wish him the best however. He had a ETOon his deal and decided to opt out of his contract. So he did. But he says his intentions were to stay with the team. He says he wanted to opt out so there could be enough money to sign an impact player and himself. So the Clippers delivered on that. They got Baron Davis from the Golden State Warriors. But he never resigned. According to an interview with Coach Dunleavy Brand was going to stay and give him the offer the originally offered. But agents are just poison sometimes for players. He told Dunleavy he would talk to his agent David Falk and tell him that he still wanted to be a Clipper but that never happened as he got offers from the Warriors, and then later on the 76ers. Clippers never heard from him and there went Elton Brand. But what pisses me off is he was the main one lobbying to get BD and telling his teammates that yeah BD is running with us next season. And then to bolt on the team like that wtf? Oh well! What comes around goes around and hopefully the Sixers are a bad team next season. The Baron Davis era has begun in LA. So now we got to replace Brand. Josh Smith and Emeka Okafor are still out there but their respective teams can match any offer since they are restricted free agents. I also hear we could get Zach Randolph via trade. We’ll have to see what happens. Corey Maggetteis no longer a Clipper also. He took a deal with the Golden State Warriors. I don’t know why he would go there since they don’t have a big tradition of winning just like the Clippers. We’ll see what happens. But it is never too late to jump on the Clipper bandwagon.
Ok these are one of these blogs that I will probably go in a bunch of different directions. First of all Happy Fourth of July! Hope everyone was safe and you watched fireworks like a true american. Whenever I see fireworks and it’s the 4th of July it truly makes me proud to be an american. I am bummed a little bit because for some apparent reason my myspace profile was deleted. Why it was deleted I don’t even know! So I have to start all over. And when you have to do that it pretty much stinks because to build your space up to where it was at the point it was before it was deleted took years of work. I have to look for a new background. The playlist I can get from Hypster I’ve just been too lazy to do that. Reorganize all my friends again and put up all my pictures again. Let alone do the whole profile thing. And when I asked about it I pretty much got the Terms Of Service Violation crap and a list of reasons why it could’ve been deleted. That doesn’t tell me anything. And oh yeah they don’t keep a record of deleted profiles. If that was the case I would’ve applied for reinstatement. LOL! So in the coming weeks I will build up my myspace. I got most of my friends back (the ones I talk to anyway)! I’m not quite there yet however. So if you ever get your myspace deleted good luck. Another thing I want to talk about is the switch I made. Yes I am no longer a T-Moblie customer. I made the switch going to AT&T Wireless. I am really liking this new phone of mine the Blackjack II. It has Windows Mobile with a bunch of great features. Unlimited internet, text messaging, I can view emails, and I even put a playlist from Windows Media Player on their as well. I just need some headphones for it now LOL! So it looks like I won’t be getting an iPhone 3G coming out next week but my gf will be. But for the time being she is using a Blackberry. She doesn’t want to customize or anything until she gets that iPhone. I hope she loves it. But right now for my phone I am in the process of making some ringtones. And I hope you all have my new number as well. I sent out a text and put a bulletin on myspace. If you don’t have it let me know. And the last thing on my mind is my favorite sports team the LA Clippers. Best team in LA. And they showed it this week by luring Baron Davis away from the Golden State Warriors to a multi year deal. Now everyone is worried if Brand will come back. Golden State is trying to fight back by giving Brand a lucarative offer. I don’t see him taking to the offer to go to a team that probably won’t make the playoffs next year and has a bunch of young talent. If he is smart he’ll return to LA and one of the reasons why he opted out was to give the Clippers flexibility so they can go out and sign a guy. With Davis and Brand as running mates the Clips would definitely matter again. As for Maggette he’s as good as gone. Time for him to move on anyway. Wasn’t going to make us any better I think. I’ll keep you all updated until I hear anything. Free agents can start signing July 9th. Take it easy for now.
Ok if there is really one thing that this decade has done a good job of is someone finally coming up with the idea to release TV Shows to DVD. And most TV Shows you can find on DVD whether they be still on the air in syndication, or not airing on US television. There are some shows however I wish would just come out on DVD already (Family Matters being one of them). Now that they figured that out that people love their TV Shows what they do is make it better. I go to a bunch of different network websites and see that you can watch TV Shows online. But lets face it all TV Shows air on different networks. So what they need to do is come up with just one main website of where you can watch your favorite TV Shows. It should be something like x amount of episodes for free and then charge you for the rest of the episodes. Or make it completely free and just have sponsors and show commercials for like 30 seconds or something. Now I know what you guys are probably already thinking. IN2TV from AOL. But guess what, they only show shows from Warner Bros. I’m talking about all shows whether they are from Warner Bros. or not, and whether they are canceled or not. That would be amazing. Too bad I don’t know anyone with from the production companies that put out these shows otherwise I would be in contact with them right now. Think about it. Streaming whenever you want. No more having to watch poor quality You Tube videos, and I am talking EVERY single TV Show from comedy to reality or drama to animation. That would be incredibly awesome. I should copyright this trademark right now. LOL! Maybe I should do a test run with some of the TV Shows I have already and then more people should join and more and so on. It would be excellent. But really beneficial for shows that aren’t on the air anymore and are not on DVD. But all shows welcome. Tell me what you think!
Ok it has been a little over a week since the finals have ended. I would’ve posted this sooner but I had other things on my mind at the time. And the weekend was busy as usual. But I’m here now. LOL! Anyway what can I say the NBA Finals didn’t disappoint. It did well in the ratings, we saw good basketball and most importantly the Lakers didn’t win. If anything they laid an egg. Congratulations to the Boston Celtics for their 17th NBA Title. Congrats to Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnettand Ray Allen for getting their first NBA rings and if they do what they did this season they should be back next year. The funny thing about this series is how the Celtics were underdogs. I mean we know they struggled with Atlanta, and Cleveland early in the playoffs but I really think they got into Momentum when they knocked Detroit out in 6. Analysts I feel didn’t give them enough credit. But we all saw that the Celtics were clearly the better team in that game 4 comeback. They could’ve won the title in 5 in LA but struggled a bit that game. And the final round knock out came in game 6 when the Lakers lost by 39 points. Who loses by 39 in any game of the NBA Finals. What the hell is that? LOL! Hilarious! The Lakers quit and all Laker fans should be ashamed to be fans right about now. That was a disgrace. But hey there is always next season. LOL!
Speaking of next season the NBA Draft is tomorrow and I’m eager to see who the Clippers are going to draft. They need a point guard and changes need to be made but none more than that boneheaded coach Mike Dunleavy. Why did we give this guy an extension? It’s looking like we’ll take Eric Gordon, OJ Mayo, or possibly Kevin Love. Mayo will probably be gone by the time it gets to the Clips. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Ok I’m going back to back on this one with you guys. Jamba Juice, Juice It Up, and any other smoothie making venue attention please! The fast food industry is giving you a run for your money. Really if you ask me trying to put those businesses out of business. Jack In The Box, and Taco Bell are just 2 of the fast food places making smoothies now. And with the first day of summer in a couple of days you know its going to be getting hot really soon and it will be making a lot of profit. I know I will be paying for some of these smoothies since Jack’s and TB are at the top of my fast food list. I don’t really go to Jamba Juice and there is a Juice It Up at my school and I’ve never gotten anything from there. If this trend continues those smoothie making places will be put out of business. I don’t really mind but people would be out of a job. But if you really think about it is convienient. Fast food places have drive-thrus. Smoothie places don’t. You can get burgers, tacos, and other real food at fast food places. You can’t at the smoothie places. So unless those places start selling burgers or any other real food this is bad news for them. Be on the look out for more fast food places to start getting into the smoothie making at their respective places. If this happens, sorry Jamba Juice, sorry Juice It Up but your days will be numbered! What do you all think?
I meant to get to this blog a couple days earlier but never got around to it. Anyway I’ve been with my gf a lil over 2 years as most of you know and she has turned me on to some things and places i’ve never really would’ve ever known about it or be into if it weren’t for her. Well score one in her book again because I am now officialy a fan of Law & Order Criminal Intent on USA. Now if you are in my house a lot Law & Order is usually always on. My mom loves to watch the show. Usually the original series on TNT. And she always gets mad when April comes around when the NBA starts the NBA Playoffs on that channel. But I really don’t mind the show but the stories get old after watching so many episodes. Law & Order: SVU also comes on USA and that is just the same old thing. A girl gets raped time to find the rapist who did it. I know that is the theme of that show solving sex crimes but its just really not that entertaining to me. And then there is Criminal Intent. They solve special cases and they have two detective teams. This is probably one of the reasons why I can put up with watching this series. You don’t see the same old people which is good. And the stories are really good. I mean I start watching an episode with my gf and I just get hooked. I’m not even really the drama type but I can surely say that she has broadened my horizons when it comes to watching TV. And vice versa. I’ve hooked her on the some shows of my liking. Lost is one of them. She likes that show more than I do now. We pretty much like the same sitcoms. And as for cartoons she likes watching DuckTales. As for the rest of the toons, she’s over Turtles since she was a fan of the show as a kid, however she is a sucker for the old live movies, not a big Garfield fan, she can put up with watching Inspector Gadget (usually when I’m watching it), and I got her to see the Transformers movie with me last summer so I think I could be warming her up to that. You never know though. But on TV.com Law & Order: Criminal Intent is on my list of shows and I plan on getting DVDs of the show in the near future.
Ok here is a music CD review. A CD I would like to share with you all today is Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s T.H.U.G.S. I would’ve talked more about it when I was running down my 5 favorite music artists a while back but I figured I would save for another time. And that time is now. Now a little history behind this record. It was released through their old record label Ruthless. It contains tracks that didn’t make it to their 2000 release BTNHResurrection and their 2002 release Thug World Order. I really think that those albums would’ve been a lot better if some of these tracks were on those albums but this album has to be one of their best low key releases. It was released in November of last year and I think it is far more better than their commercial release Strength & Loyalty. I don’t even know where to start! I guess I should start with the tracks. Bizzy Bone does appear on the album. The CD kinda takes you back to old school Bone. Even though these are old unreleased tracks it kind of takes you to what they were way back in the day. Anyway I’m going to lay out some recommended tracks for good listening.

Does anyone here watch that TV Show Cheaters? That has to be one of the most funniest shows. I know a while back I wrote a blog about how reality TV sucked but this show is an exception compared to the other crap that is reality TV. This is kind of combination between Springer, Maury and Cops. Not that I like any of those shows. But this show is just so hilarious. If you don’t really watch this show it starts with a first interview from the complaintant (a little boring and emotional at times), then the surveillance of the suspect or cheater (this is more interesting in the uncensored DVDs), and then the confrontations (best part of the show). Joey Greco the host of the show is always determined to confront the suspect with their companion and get an explanation to what they are doing and why they are cheating. Sometimes it is just hilarious to see the suspects male or female say this is just a friend, or what are u doing here, and my favorite why did you have to bring all these cameras. Apparently the reason why they had to bring all these cameras is because they had a feeling you were cheating on them but couldn’t prove it. And the fact that you weren’t being honest with them is all the reason to put them on camera. That is what a cheater deserves. Now as for me, I don’t condome cheating in anyway. I do believe in friends with benefits if you are SINGLE. But if you are exclusively seeing someone married or just bf and gf it is not right to cheat on your significant other. Obviously the complaintants that come to the show aren’t in the best of relationships. And another thing is that there is no good reason for cheating. Whether you weren’t getting enough, or they weren’t paying enough attention to you (usually the womens excuse) it is still not right. Talk to them. I mean you are lovers right? Work it out. Get counseling or break up/ get a divorce if you are truly not happy with that person. Just don’t cheat on them. And then get pissed off at them when they put you on camera because you are the one that couldn’t be faithful. LOL! That is just too much. And then its just so funny in terms of what happens. Over 90% of the time the dudes always get into fist fights, women who are caught always try to put it as its the guys fault most of the time, and the women that are with the men that are caught cheating are usually surprised and didn’t know they had another lover. LOL just hilarious! And even though this show is just funny its not funny if you are on this show. Well really if you are the one caught cheating. Not only all of your family and friends see how low you can be but it really can’t have a positive effect on your future love life. You are on a date with some for the first time are you really going to tell them that you were on that TV Show Cheaters. And that you were the one that was cheating. LOL! Some of the people have their identity witheld probably for those exact reasons. But occasionally if the people find a way to work things out which is always good to see. It usually happens if they are married. It is always good to see cheaters admit when they were the ones that was wrong. Cheaters! Funniest TV Show ever!
